Buy & Sell Clothes on your phone with the Vinted App!

Yes, you read the title of this post correctly. There is a free app for iPhones and Androids called Vinted where you can literally buy and sell clothes directly off the app.

To buy: There are tons of brands ranging from Victoria's Secret PINK to Louis Vuitton to Forever 21. You can follow your favorite brands so that whenever someone posts something of that brand, it will pop up directly on your feed. Pictures of the items are usually included and you can even chat with the seller in order to ask questions about damage or anything you see. There is even a chance to "Make an offer" where you get to basically haggle with the seller to bring the price down a few dollars. Shipping costs are also a factor that you should be aware of when purchasing. There is a tool to let you know exactly how much it will cost to ship your goods as well as track your package once it has shipped.

To sell: Take pictures of the item(s) that you are trying to sell. The Vinted app offers tips on what kind of pictures people are more likely to click on for more information. Enter the brand and how much you bought it for [estimates are ok] and how much you would like to sell it for. It costs nothing at all for you to sell your item.; buyers pay for shipping themselves. The only thing you may have to do is find a box to put it in. Vinted takes 19% of the price that you are selling your item for and they have a nifty tool that shows you exactly what profit you'll get. I have two items that no one has bought yet so I'm not 100% sure how the process works once someone decides they want your item but one of my roommates has sold something and has assured me that it is completely safe!

I think that this is a genius app for college students who want to make a quick buck or save a lot of money on clothing and accessories. It's really easy but be careful because it definitely can get addicting!
