Meghan and Monique really wanted to go visit the duomo and then we were planning to head across the bridge to Fort de Belvedere. We did visit the duomo and then went to Zara to look around. While I was trying on these boyfriend jeans that didn't fit me like I wanted to, I lost Monique and Meghan somewhere in Zara. I waited outside, bought some Pringles, and went home and still couldn't find them. I was going to just stay in and wait for them to come home but I decided to go back out and look for them again. Luckily I found them as they were just leaving Zara.
We decided to ride the carousel that was in the piazza. We were literally the oldest people on it but that was okay for 1.5 euros we couldn't beat that. After that bit of excitement we headed back to the apartment and chilled out for a little while. Once Emily and Valeria got in, we decided to try out Gusta Pizza which is a really good place where you can get take out pizza. Take out food is extremely hard to find here, so this was a big deal. The pizza was okay. We ate on the steps of this church where everybody who gets take out from Gusta Pizza congregates. Last we got gelato (of course). Now I'm back on my bed getting ready to go shave and prepare for class tomorrow.
As my second Sunday in Florence comes to a close, I'm beginning to get excited for the next two weeks ahead. I really miss my family, friends, dogs, and American food but I'm also going to miss gelato, my roommates, and the view when I go back to my normal everyday life.
