Day 3: Settled

I finally made it to Florence! I am so excited to be out of Rome and settled into my own apartment (which is amazing by the way). It is very homey and comfortable just like you would imagine an Italian home to look. It has a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms. It even has a dishwasher and washer machine. The washer machine is super tiny though. There are five of us in this apartment: Emily, Megan, Monique, Valeria, and myself. Megan and I have a room while Emily, Monique, and Valeria are sharing the other. Their room has an amazing view of the street.

The location of our apartment couldn't have been any more perfect than it is. We are in the heart of Florence. There are shops, restaurants, clubs, bars, nail salons, gelato shops and everything else you can imagine. Think of what the stereotypical Italian city looks like and you have Florence. It is so beautiful it hurts. The river is also very close. I'm so excited to walk to class everyday with the best view ever.

Today has been pretty simple. We woke up, checked out of the hotel, then had another orientation. Our bus didn't arrive to take us from Rome to Florence until 1:30 so we explored a little more and had lunch. I finally had a pizza that I loved. I found myself doing my happy dance while eating it so I know it was good. Once we got on the bus I knocked out almost the entire 4 hour ride to Florence. I woke up for a little bit while we were driving through Tuscany. The hills and scenery was breathtaking. I definitely want to take a trip there if I have the chance to.

I am so excited about this trip. Every single day gets better and better. I also can't wait to share it with you guys. I have tons of pictures and videos that I plan on uploading to my computer tomorrow since we have a free day (yay!). So keep an eye out for those as well as I'm going to try to make a video montage for my YouTube channel.

Now that I have consistent wifi, I'm about to catch up on the Scandal season finale until we go out later!

Smooches,
The College Natural
